爸爸跟媽媽都在想

Dear our little baby
The weekly pregnancy newsletter told me that
the development of your reflexes would accelerate this week
You are surely growing everyday!
Daddy and mommy always wonder...
We wonder how we can be good parents
We wonder how we can help you establish a good foundation
upon which you can build your life....
你的一生 從出生到你自己成年都是我們的責任 

Your life from birth to adulthood is our responsibility


爸爸昨天問我說 他會不會是個好爸爸
他會怕 會不會把你教得不好
他很努力的當一個好爸爸
他也很想給你最好的
可是他會怕 他能不能做得到

Your daddy has asked me yesterday if he would be a
good father...
He fears that he would not be a good teacher to you
He's making his very best effort to become a good father
He also wants to give you the very best
But, he's afraid that he would not be good enough...


我在安慰他 鼓勵他的同時
其實 我也很怕.... 
因為對你 我也有很多夢想 很多期待
可是你不只是我的 你也是爸爸的心肝寶貝
你是爸爸與媽媽心疼的生命
不管我心裡有任何夢想或期待
我不能只依照我的想法去教你
因為爸爸他也有他對你的夢想跟期待
有時候 爸爸跟媽媽也會有意見不同的時候
因為爸爸跟媽媽都是人
只要是人 我們就會有自己的想法以及信念

Mommy comforted and encouraged daddy
But, at the same time, mommy is terrified as well...
I also have so many dreams and expectations for you
But, you are not only mine; you are also daddy's precious one...
You are the precious life that daddy and mommy both love so dearly
No matter what dreams and expectations that I have for you
I cannot just raise in the way I always dreamed it
because daddy has his dreams and expectations for you, too
Sometimes, daddy and mommy will have different visions
because we are both humans
As long as we are individuals
we will have our own individual thinking and believes....


可是寶寶 雖然爸爸跟媽媽都還是很怕
很怕能不能給你最好的
還沒自信我們會不會是一對好父母
就像你是第一次當我們的寶寶
我們也是第一次當人父 人母
可能會做錯 也可能會失敗
可是爸爸跟媽媽都像你保證
我們會很努力 不會放棄你
錯了就改 失敗也會爬起來
所以你也要有耐心 也要相信我們
給我們機會當你的好爸爸 好媽媽

But, sweety, although daddy and mommy are terrified
to become a "father" and a "mother",
we are not sure if we can give you the very best, and
we are not yet confident enough to be good parents,
we will learn...
Just like this is the first time for you to be a baby,
this is also the very first time for us to become your parents
We probably will make mistakes
We probably may fail from time to time
But, daddy and mommy garantee you that
we will make our very best effort and never give up on you
If we make mistakes, we will try not to make the same one again
If we fail and fall, we will stand up again
So, you also have to be patient
and you have to trust and have faith in us
and give us chance to become good parents to you

媽媽真正能保護你的就只有這麼十個月
你還在我的肚子裡的時候
我去哪裡都帶著你走
讓你在我的身體裡面舒舒服服
無愁無憂 安心地長大
我吃維他命 吃營養餐點
提供你需要的營養分給妳
我為你禱告 跟你說話 
希望你能成為一個
有像神那樣的愛心的小孩

Baby
Ten month is the time limit that mommy is given
to protect you inside of me...
When you are still inside of mommy's tummy
I carry you everywhere I go
You stay in my womb in a perfect comfort, and 
You just have to care to grow everyday
without any worry or harm  
I take vitamins and eat healthy food
to provide you the nutrients that you need
I pray for you and talk to you
hoping that you will become a child
who is filled with God's love


你跟我連在一起的時間
就只有十個月 在你一生內短短的十個月
過了這十個月 你就要在這個世界
自己努力活下去了 
我不能再從我身體直接提供營養給妳
你也要用自己的器官支持你自己的生命
你要喝奶 你要吸空氣 你要排泄
生為一個人的基本 你都要從頭學習

You are connected with me for only ten months
Ten month is such a short time in your entire life time
After the ten month period
you have to live on your own in this hostile world
I can no longer sustain your life by providing you
the nutrients that you need directly from me 
You also have to use all the organs that you got
to drink milk, breathe air and excrete the wastes
You will have to learn about the A to Z of being a human


可是寶寶你要知道
我跟你爸爸永遠都會在這邊支持你
我們不會什麼都幫你做
也不會什麼都買給妳
因為那會害了你 並不是愛你
但是你要知道
我們給你的愛永遠不會收回
不管你長得如何 會不會唸書
你永遠是爸爸媽媽得寶貝
當你遇到問題的時候
你不要逃 也不要自責 更不要怕
因為我們都會在這邊 等著你

But, baby, remember this
Your daddy and mommy will always be here for you
supporting you and encouraging you
We will not do everything for you
We will not buy everything that you want
because doing so is destroying you not loving you
But, baby, we promise you
that we will never take back the love we give you
No matter how you look or how you do at school
you are always always daddy and mommy's precious baby
When you have any difficulty and problem
I pray that you don't run away
I pray that you don't blame on yourself
I pray that you don't get scared
because we are always always here for you


你阿公曾經在媽媽小學的父母文章集裡
寫過一篇文章 他說
父母就像一把燈 照亮小孩的人生路
讓小孩看清楚自己前面的路
這樣他才知道如何走下去
我跟你爸爸都希望能夠幫你照亮你的路
因為我們不能永遠陪著你走完這條路
所以 我們要給你最好的人生基礎
給你 你需要的愛 關懷 知識 道理
給你 你需要的所有一切
讓這一些人生寶物 陪著你完成一生

Your grandpa, my father, once published an essay
in mommy's elementary school parents essay book
He wrote:
Parents are like the lamp casting the light on their
children's life pathes
so that the children will be able to see the path clearly
in order to know what next step s/he should make....
So, daddy and mommy wish to be your lamp
to cast the light on your life path
because we cannot accompany you
till the end of your life road
At some point, we will have to leave you
So, we want to help you establish a strong and unshakable
foundation for your life
We want to give you our love, care, knowledge and wisdom
We want to give you all that you need to live a blessed life
All these things are the treasures of life
that will accompany you till the end of your life


媽媽相信神 
媽媽一直在為你跟爸爸禱告
請神 好好保佑你們 好好引導你們
同時 也在為我自己禱告
請神教我如何當一個好妻子 好媽媽

Mommy believes and have faith in God
So, mommy always pray for you and your daddy
that God will protect you and guide you always
At the same time, mommy also prays for myself
that God will teach and help me become
a good wife and mother...

我們都是第一次
所以我們都要很努力
因為我們是神組合的一家人
你現在安心在媽媽肚子裡 長大
媽媽日日盼望著 能親眼看到你
能親手抱著你的那一天....

Baby, my dear
This is the first time for all of us
So, we all have to make our very best effort and learn
because God puts us together to become a family
Now you are safe in my womb
You rest and grow well inside of me
Mommy is looking forward to seeing you with my own eyes
and holding you in my own arms soon...
